I was introduced to Etsy by my brother's girlfriend, who had a shop on Etsy. She absolutely raved about it, until I just had to take a look. My husband had been without work and ended up taking a job with much less pay. I had been looking for jobs without any luck. So my Etsy store was born in March of 2010 called MORETHANCOLORS.

Just previous to this we had been full time missionaries in France, where we worked in a retreat center for churches. I had a stained glass workshop there and taught classes. It amazed me how God can take any gift and use it as a relationship builder and doorway into sharing so much more.

When I first began learning the art of stained glass, it was offered in our church. I chose a simple butterfly as my first project and I remember the awe I felt after it was done. I was amazed that I could make something like that out of glass. In my bio I have this story about the first window I made and would like to share it with you and what God taught me through it.

The first window I ever made, I stood up with the light shining through it and begged God to teach me what He wanted me to see through it! I waited .... and then it came. Each piece was carefully cut, ground and fashioned in its proper place. Some light and some very dark. While I had worked on it, it lay flat, the colors were very dull and hardly noticeable; but when it was finished and I held it up in the light it was breathtaking! The dark pieces (our trials) were what brought so much beauty - all the pieces were necessary to make something so beautiful. And suddenly an overwhelming sense of pride came over me that I had made "this work of art." Then God whispered that someday when I am finished and He holds me up and the light of Christ shines through God will say "I MADE YOU!"

My shop has a variety of items: butterflies, birds, business card holders, snowflakes, Christmas tree toppers and much more. I enjoy creating new items all the time and have so many ideas that I'm excited to see what may come about this year. You can see my artwork in my store on Etsy at www.etsy.com/shop/MoreThanColors?ref=si_shop . You can find me here:

I also have started a Vintage Shop called More Than Treasures and I'm really hoping to work more on that shop this summer.

As far as learning more on Etsy, I am interested in learning how to better describe my listings and be more creative with titles and tags. I've read some of the Etsy articles and it seems there is just so much more to getting your items seen in searches and in entertaining your buyers with the descriptions.

Thank you for taking time to read a little about me and I hope you will check out my shop. May God richly bless you.
